Being chased? Under attack? Your vehicle can be equipped with the IAC Smoke Screen System to allow for increased egress capability. This system is dependent on the vehicles exhaust system to generate a sufficient level of heat to vaporize the smoke fluid. It created a smoke screen / cloud that may perpetrate any potential chaser giving you time to escape a would be threat.
The fluid reservoir for your vehicle is mounted under the hood in the engine compartment, just in front of the front passenger seating position. The cap is visible via a hole in the upper armor at that location. Capacity is approx ¾ liter which is sufficient to operate continuously for approximately 45-55 seconds, depending upon the viscosity of the smoke generating fluid utilized. With a fully warm exhaust system, the tail pipe smoke occurs within 1-3 seconds of activation and will continue, even when switched off
until the exhaust system has fully “cooked” the fluid out.
